Lost on Penalties, Indonesia Wins CP Soccer Silver Medal

“The Indonesian team’s performance was very good, even though we were unlucky to win,” Dito said.

“I really appreciate and am happy to see the struggle of our friends.”

After the match, team captain Yahya Hernanda apologized to the Indonesian people for failing to present a gold medal.

“Thank you for the people of Indonesia, for all those who have supported the Indonesian team competing today, but we apologize that we have not been able to win the gold medal even though we have tried our best,” Yahya said.

Even so, Yahya promised to win the gold medal at the next ASEAN Para Games which will be held in Thailand in 2026.

Meanwhile, team coach Anshar said his team was too hasty when launching attacks so that many opportunities failed to meet the target.

“The children were playing too hastily when they saw the target in front of the goal. I asked to play the width of the field and appear gradually, but they forgot,” Anshar said.
