JABAR EKSPRES – The General Election Commission (KPU) of Lebak Regency, Banten, is targeting young voters to exercise their voting rights in the 2024 General Election through the “Goes to Campus” and “Goes to School” socialization programs.
“The Goes to Campus and Goes to School socialization activities are to boost the participation of young people, especially students, to exercise their political rights in the 2024 elections,” said Lebak Regency KPU Chair Ni’matullah, in Lebak, Wednesday (5/31).
The socialization of the Goes to Campus and Goes to College programs has been carried out such as at Latansa Mashiro University and Setiabudi University in Rangkasbitung. For Goes to School to all high school / vocational and MA level coolers in Lebak Regency.
However, the socialization of the Goes to Campus and Goes to School programs is carried out in stages according to the schedule set by the local KPU.
“We recently socialized the Goes to School program at Rangkasbitung High School attended by hundreds of students,” he explained.
He said that the socialization of the Goes to Campus and Goes to School programs involved speakers from lecturers and local school teachers as well as KPU Lebak.
In the socialization, it is hoped that young people from students and students in Lebak Regency can generate enthusiasm to use their voting rights in the 2024 elections.
In addition, he said, they can use their voting rights conscientiously to choose presidential and vice presidential candidates as well as legislative members who will be elected, both at the district, provincial and central levels, including the DPD.
“We are optimistic that through the socialization of the Goes to Campus and Goes to School programs can increase the participation of voting rights in the 2024 Election from young people,” said Ni’matullah.
According to him, the number of participants in the 2024 elections was followed by 18 political parties and was conveyed to students and students to find out in detail, including the number of candidates for Lebak Regency DPRD members above 800 people.
