Barcelona Win 3-0 Over Mallorca in Alba and Busquets’ Farewell Match

JABAR EKSPRES – Barcelona won convincingly 3-0 at home to Real Mallorca at Camp Nou in the 37th week of the Spanish League on Monday morning.

Ansu Fati scored twice in this match with the other goal scored by Pablo Gavi in the second half.

This victory does not change the position of Barcelona who have secured the Spanish League championship this season. They are now collecting 88 points from 37 matches, while Mallorca remains in 12th position with 12 points, according to the records of the official LaLiga page.

This match was also a farewell for Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba at Camp Nou as they will leave Barcelona at the end of this season.

Barcelona have opened the scoring when the game has not even been a minute old. A neat passing game was completed with Gavi’s attractive pass to Ansu Fati who just kicked the ball into an empty net to make it 1-0.

Mallorca have had to play with 10 men since the 14th minute after Amath Ndiaye received a straight red card after a dangerous tackle on Alejandro Balde. The young left-back was injured in the tackle and had to be replaced by Sergi Roberto.

Ansu Fati doubled Barcelona’s lead in the 24th minute through the same attacking scheme. Fati received the ball from Lewandowski’s through ball before kicking the ball into Dominik Greif’s goal. The score became 2-0.

Gavi increased Barcelona’s lead to 3-0 in the 70th minute. The young Spanish midfielder fired a hard left-footed shot from inside the penalty box to find Mallorca’s goal.

An emotional moment occurred when Jordi Alba left Camp Nou when he was replaced by Marcos Alonso in the 81st minute and was followed by Sergio Busquets who was a Barcelona player for the last time at Camp Nou.
