Tourist Visits to TNBTS East Java 32,720 People During Holiday

JABAR EKSPRES –The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) Center noted that the number of tourist visits during the Lebaran 2023 holiday period in the national park area in East Java reached 32,720 people.

Head of Administration of the TNBTS Septi Eka Wardhani in Malang City, East Java, Monday, said that 32,720 tourists visited the national park area during the period April 19 to May 1, 2023.

“Overall there are 32,720 tourists visiting the national park area,” Septi said.

She explained that of the total number of visits, as many as 32,421 people were domestic tourists, while as many as 299 others were foreign tourists who visited the national park area during the Lebaran 2023 holiday.

According to him, tens of thousands of tourists not only visited the Mount Bromo area, but also the Ranu Regulo and Ranu Darungan areas. The TNBTS Center has set quotas for tourist visits at each tourist point on Mount Bromo.

“The tourists visit the Bromo, Ranu Regulo and Ranu Darungan tourist areas in the period April 19 to May 1, 2023,” he said.

During the 2023 Lebaran holiday, the TNBTS Center set a tourist quota of 75 percent of the total capacity of the Mount Bromo area. With this quota, the maximum number of tourist visits per day is 2,202 visitors.

The quota is divided into the Bukit Cinta area for 93 people per day, Bukit Kedaluh 321 people per day, Penanjakan, 666 people per day, Mentigen 165 people per day and Savana Teletubbies as many as 957 people per day.

Septi added that until now the Mount Bromo tourist area still sets a tourist quota limit of 75 percent of the total capacity. The TNBTS Center will still conduct a study to open the area up to 100 of the total capacity.

“While it is still 75 percent, later we will review it again to open up to 100 percent,” he said.

In the 2022 period, the number of tourist visits to Mount Bromo which reached 318,919 tourists was divided from 310,418 visitors who were domestic tourists and as many as 8,501 were foreign tourists.
