JABAR EKSPRES — The Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police is following up on a viral comment about threatening Muhammadiyah followers for celebrating Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri/2023 differently from the government.
Director of Cyber Crimes at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Brigadir Jendral Adi Vivid A Bactiar, confirmed in Jakarta on Monday (24/4), said the police were profiling the threatening comment.
“We are profiling the statement,” Vivid said.
The threatening comment was uploaded by Andi Pangerang Hasanuddin, an astronomy researcher at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), on a link uploaded by Thomas Jamaluddin, another BRIN researcher, regarding differences in methods for determining the 2023 Eid al-Fitr day.
Initially, Thomas commented that Muhammadiyah had disobeyed the government’s decision because of the different determination of Eid al-Fitr 2023.

The comment was replied to by Andi Pangerang Hasanuddin with the Twitter account Ap Hasanuddin with a cynical and threatening tone.
Several comments uploaded by Andi Pangerang Hasanuddin regarding the difference went viral on social media. Among them. “I do not hesitate to silence you muhammadiyah who are still egocentric. Already flicked by Mr. Thomas, Mr. Marufin et al, it still doesn’t work,” wrote AP Hasanuddin.
Then AP Hasanuddin also wrote a reply comment to Ahmad Fuazan S’s account upload.
“Do I need to legalize or not the blood of all muhammadiyah? Moreover, muhammadiyah infiltrated by Hizbut Tahrir through the Global Islamic Calendar agenda from the Echo of Liberation? a lot of talk, here I kill you one by one. Please report my comment with the threat of murder article I am ready to be jailed. I’m tired of seeing your complaints,” wrote AP Hasanuddin.
