JABAR EKSPRES — Central Java Governor, Ganjar Pranowo said, he is ready to be paired with any figure who has the same vision as his vice presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
“After the General Chairperson of the PDIP, Mrs. Megawati, decides on the presidential candidate, then it is only the initial stage. So, the story (prospective candidate) for vice president awaits cooperation between the parties. Of course, PDI Perjuangan has prepared several candidates, including Mr. President, Jokowi, joining the discussion about it. So, just be patient,” said Ganjar Pranowo during a joint meal at Wedangan Ndalem Padmosusastran, Surakarta, Saturday (22/4).
Accompanying Ganjar in the meal were his wife, Atikoh, and the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Ganjar admitted that he did not know for sure about the names of his presidential candidate companions. PDI Perjuangan will definitely consider, he added, because this country is too big to be taken care of alone.
Various collaborations are needed, especially with elements of society and parties because constitutionally, presidential and vice presidential candidates are proposed by parties or a coalition of political parties.
“About the coalition parties, we will wait a little longer, about the vice president who can work together and have the same vision. Our homework is not easy, not only the 1945 Constitution as a long vision of this country, which must be taken care of. Then, the values in the constitution that we must obey,” explained Ganjar.
Ganjar said the development that President Jokowi has carried out must be continued.
Ganjar said that when he returned to Central Java to accompany President, Jokowi, on Friday (21/4), he received a story during the 50-minute flight about how Jokowi made leaps and accelerations.
“One story of downstreaming alone can actually increase the economy by a large economic leap. I have to keep this. So, we maintain and we continue. There are many agendas that must be prepared, so that the vice-presidential couple is expected to have the same vision, have the same commitment to carry out this mandate,” said Ganjar.
