Meanwhile, Hartanto Wibowo, Director of Business Planning and Development at PLN, said that the cooperation will increase the capacity of PLN employees to develop sustainable energy technology. This is an important step for PLN in order to reduce dependence on fossil energy.
“In the midst of the rapid increase in energy demand today, the development of sustainable technology is a big step taken by PLN to improve domestic energy security,” said Hartanto.
He explained that after the launch of the Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM) at the G20 Summit, the Indonesian Government made various efforts to develop an energy sector that was fair and affordable for the community. The goal is to achieve the net zero emission (NZE) target by 2060.
Hartanto hopes that with the support and collaboration of Siemens Energy, which is a leading technology company in the global arena, the implementation of sustainable technology can be realized in Indonesia.
“Hopefully this collaboration will run smoothly and provide benefits for all parties. This is also a reflection that we are together to move forward to create a better future,” he said.
