JABAR EKSPRES —PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol recorded that 168,443 vehicles left Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) on April 15-17, 2023 or a few days before Eid al-Fitr 1444 AH.

Vice President Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paaloo, in Bekasi, Tuesday (18/4), said the volume of vehicles crossing the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 AH 2023 continues to increase.

“The total volume of vehicles leaving the Jakarta area through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate increased by 95.23 percent compared to normal traffic of 86,279 vehicles,” she said.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol also recorded traffic volumes in the same period from Jakarta towards the provinces of Central Java and East Java.

At the Kalikangkung Toll Gate in Central Java, 87,918 vehicles were recorded heading to Semarang or an increase of 93.53 percent from the normal traffic of 45,429 vehicles. Meanwhile, 48,699 vehicles were observed leaving Semarang.

A total of 71,856 vehicles were monitored heading to Semarang through the Banyumanik Toll Gate and 100,563 vehicles leaving Semarang or up 39.1 percent from normal traffic of 72,296 vehicles.

Furthermore, 65,946 vehicles were recorded crossing the Warugunung Toll Gate to Surabaya, East Java, up 9.73 percent compared to normal traffic of 60,098 vehicles. Meanwhile, 59,458 vehicles were observed leaving Surabaya in the same period.

At Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate, 79,418 vehicles headed to Surabaya and 79,291 vehicles left Surabaya. Finally at Singosari Toll Gate, 37,633 vehicles were observed heading to Malang and 35,853 vehicles leaving Malang.

He urged toll road users to prepare themselves before entering the trip on the toll road. Make sure you and your vehicle are in top condition and always comply with health protocols as recommended by the government while in the rest area.

“Also ensure the adequacy of fuel and electronic money balance, and obey the signs and directions of officers in the field,” he said.
