BANDUNG – The incident of a suicide bombing carried out by a man destroyed the police station at Astana Anyar, Bandung, Indonesia, Wednesday December 7th 2022.
The police who served as the Head of Community Protection, Mr. Ahmad Ramadhan said that during the incident at that time several policemen were reported injured by the bomb explosion.
“There were several (police) members injured,” said Mr. Ahmad Ramadhan when met at the Indonesian Police Office, Wednesday December 7th 2022.
Mr. Ahmad Ramadhan also said that until now the bomb disposal squad, Densus 88, and a number of regional police had been deployed to the location to investigate the cause of the incident when the bomb exploded.
“The bomb disposal team from the West Java police, Detachment 88. The bomb squad secured and sterilized. Then the Densus continued to work. Of course from Criminal Investigation both the Polres and the Polda conducted the scene of the incident,” said Mr. Ahmad.
As previously reported, a suicide bomb exploded at the Astana Anyar police station, Bandung in the morning at 08.25 WIB.
A mysterious man who is a suicide bomber is found dead in a state of messy body parts.
“The suspected suicide bomber died,” said Mr Ahmad.
Until now, the West Java police have also sterilized the suicide bombing site at the Astana Anyar regional police station, Bandung City, West Java, Indonesia.
“Until now, the scene of the incident has been sterilized and immediately investigated.”
Mr. Ahmad Ramadhan explained, if the suicide bomber came to the police station on a motorbike. The suspect then got off his motorbike and immediately entered the police station yard.
Not long after, there was an explosion with a very loud sound.
“It’s true, there was an explosion suspected of being a suicide bombing, he was using a motorbike,” he said.
A little later, pieces of a human body were found at the explosion site.
