JABAR EKSPRES – PT Pertamina Lubricants (PTPL), part of the state-owned Pertamina Group, re-established cooperation with South Africa due to the huge potential for the lubricant industry on the African continent.
“We continue to develop strategic partnerships with several spare parts store chains that have hundreds of outlets throughout South Africa as well as building Pertamina Lubricants’ channel workshop network,” Pertamina Lubricants VP Sales Overseas Syafaat Jajuli said in an official statement here on Friday (9/8).

This is also in line with the government’s mission to strengthen relations between the two countries, namely Indonesia and South Africa. Therefore, since 2014, PTPL has brought its best lubricants to Africa through Pertamina Fastron, Enduro, Meditran to Mesran.
“Not only that, we also support various motorsport events at Killarney International Raceway which is often the area for motocross, karting, drag racing and truck racing,” Syafaat Jajuli explained.
The African market is part of Pertamina Lubricants’ long-term plan in developing overseas markets, one of which is by building strong distribution relationships through distributor Indolube Pty Ltd.
This further strengthens Pertamina Lubricants as a lubricant producer that has been recognized in various world markets and has the experience, competence and capability to enter and grow in 14 other countries in the world, such as Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Japan, Myanmar, and many more.
“This is in line with Pertamina’s commitment to continue to expand and increasingly go global,” said Syafaat Jajuli.
