JABAR EKSRES – PT JLM Auto Indonesia as the brand holding agent of Range Rover from Great Britain presents a new “toy” for sultans in Indonesia through Range Rover PHEV with a price tag starting from Rp5 billion.
“Currently we offer two technology options at once, namely mild hybrid and PHEV. Although later we will only offer products with PHEV technology to encourage the transition to the full electric era,” said PT JLM Auto Indonesia Sales and Marketing Director Irvino Edwardly at the launch of the Range Rover PHEV in Jakarta, Thursday (7/9).
The presence of the two latest vehicles from Range Rover which is not cheap is a complement to the previous variant which still uses mild hybrid technology. Not only that, with the presence of Range Rover PHEV technology, JLM Auto Indonesia always helps the government in the adoption of electric vehicles for Indonesian consumers.
“This latest Range Rover PHEV represents us in helping accelerate the adoption of electrification in Indonesia. This is Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) commitment to become carbon neutral by 2039. The launch of the Range Rover PHEV is a strong step forward in fulfilling that vision,” Irvino explained.
The latest Range Rover vehicle comes in two variants namely SE and Autobiography, which are believed to be a target for lovers of the brand.
The Range Rover PHEV is equipped with a more powerful engine than in the previous generation, this time immersing the latest Ingenium 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder petrol engine and 38.2kWh battery.
Not surprisingly, the vehicle has a positive record from 0-100 kilometers/hour in just 6 seconds. In addition, the vehicle can also utilize its electric system for up to 113 kilometers.
In appearance, this SUV does not leave the typical luxury impression of Range Rover at all. The Range Rover PHEV still relies on the iconic Clamshell Bonnet design with an understated yet sophisticated exterior, while still maintaining precise details.
