President Leads Four Summits and Holds Several Bilateral Meetings

JABAR EKSPRES – Indonesian President Joko Widodo chaired four summits and conducted a number of bilateral meetings at the 43rd ASEAN Summit on the third day, Thursday, held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Jakarta.

Starting his activities, President Jokowi held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea James Marape at the Cockatoo Room, JCC.

Furthermore, Jokowi had a bilateral meeting with Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres in the same room.

Then, Jokowi is scheduled to chair the 20th ASEAN-India Summit which is attended by leaders of ASEAN countries and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a partner country.

 

After that, Jokowi together with ASEAN leaders and partners attended the 18th East Asia Summit in Cendrawasih Room 3, JCC. At noon, Jokowi had a bilateral meeting with Australian PM Anthony Albanese.

Then, in sequence, Jokowi and ASEAN leaders are scheduled to attend the 3rd ASEAN-Australia Summit with Albanese and the 13th ASEAN-UN Summit with Antonio Guterres. After that, Jokowi is scheduled to officially close the 43rd ASEAN Summit.

On Thursday afternoon, Jokowi is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Jokowi also delivered a press statement to the media crew regarding the series of activities of the 43rd ASEAN Summit which was held for three days in Jakarta.
