JABAR EKSPRES – The All New Honda CR-V received the highest safety rating from ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia) on Monday (8/21).
ASEAN NCAP is an assessment program for new cars in the Southeast Asia region, aiming to evaluate vehicle safety standards, increase consumer awareness, and encourage the market for safer vehicles in the ASEAN region.
“We would like to thank ASEAN NCAP for testing the technology and safety features of Honda products through very strict procedures and standards,” said Sales and Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor Yusak Billy, in a press release, Tuesday (8/22).
The All New Honda CR-V achieved the highest safety rating of five stars from the ASEAN NCAP program, with a total score of 87.16 out of 100.
The All New Honda CR-V scored 77.07 out of 100 (94.93/120 for total score) in which the car successfully passed a series of front and side impact tests as well as testing its safety features.

In addition, the car scored 31.45/32 for the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, then 45.81/51 for Child Occupant Protection (COP), 19.50/21 for Safety Assist Technologies (SATs), and 9/05/16 for Motorcyclist Safety (MS).
“The achievements of the All New CR-V further demonstrate Honda’s commitment to the safety of its users and realize the vision of creating a safer environment for drivers and all other road users,” said Yusak Billy.
The crash test is a collaboration between ASEAN NCAP and the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI). In general, tests must be conducted after mass production of the model begins.
The Frontal Offset Impact test was conducted using crash test dummies in the driver and front passenger seats and two child dummies in the Child Restraint System (CRS) in the rear seats.
The crash test speed was 64 km/h when hitting a crash barrier using crushable aluminum.
