Manchester United coach Erik Ten Haag considered switching to another midfield option if Manchester United’s final offer was rejected. But Chelsea finally accepted an offer worth £ 60 million for Mount.
Currently the English player is reportedly completing personal licensing documents and will undergo a medical, while Manchester United are taking care of some transfer administration documents.
Mount, who still has a one-year contract at Chelsea, is reluctant to extend his tenure at the Stamford Bridge stadium.

During his Chelsea uniform, the 24-year-old has played a total of 197 matches since making his debut in 2017 and scored 33 goals.
Mount also presented one 2021/2022 Champions League trophy, one UEFA Super Cup trophy and one FIFA Club World Cup trophy for Chelsea.
Manchester United are in need of a midfielder to fill the midfield post after not activating the clause to buy a loan player from Bayern Munich Marcel Sabitzer.
While Chelsea is currently under the control of coach Mauricio Pochettino is in a period of team overhaul. Apart from Mason Mount, names such as N’Golo Kante, Kai Havertz, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Hakim Ziyech and Edouard Mendy are certain to leave the Stamford Bridge stadium first.
