JABAR EKSPRES – A number of communities concerned with the environment in Bali gathered and invited tourists to fill out a petition about their commitment to support nature conservation on the Island of the Gods.
Led by the KemBali Becik community, at Seseh Beach, Badung Regency, Friday, visitors were first invited to clean the beach with the Trash Hero community, then yoga with Chandra Yoga, and enjoy music while introducing the petition they initiated.
“What we want to introduce is the Traveler’s Pledge, so we invite tourists to express their commitment to support Bali’s nature conservation. So they still travel to enjoy Bali but with sustainable tourism,” said KemBali Becik Campaign Team member Saraswati Ratnanggana.
Later, the petition distributed online will contain tourist promises such as reducing waste, not using single-use plastics, using public transportation, and respecting local wisdom.

In this community gathering activity, they also invited a number of tourists and held the event at Seseh Beach as one of the tourist attractions that is often enlivened by foreign tourists.
On the launch day of the Traveler’s Pledge, Saraswati targeted 100 tourists to get involved and sign a petition for nature conservation.
In the future, through social media and community meetings, KemBali Becik claims to be increasingly aggressively attracting foreign and domestic tourists to commit to protecting Bali’s nature and environment.
This is done considering that lately many foreign tourists have behaved irresponsibly.
“So we want to build mutual awareness that let’s vacation in Bali but be more responsible, respect the locals, respect nature and the environment,” said Saraswati.
Since 2022 itself, this community has received the attention of the Bali Provincial Government for supporting the use of electric vehicles and sustainable tourism.
In the future, they plan to again attract local government cooperation in an effort to gather tourist commitments because it is in line with current government policies in building quality tourism.
