While announcing figures on the amount of food exports from Ukraine as of June 15, Putin recognized Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s efforts in the grain deal.

“A total of 31.7 million tons of agricultural products were exported from Ukrainian ports with the help of Russia and Turkey, 976 thousand tons of agricultural products were sent to African countries in need, namely Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan, Libya and Ethiopia,” he said.
“European neo-colonial governments, or rather the American administration, are deceiving the international community and African countries in need,” he said, adding.
While emphasizing that Russia has “never refused negotiations,” Putin said that in March, with Erdogan’s help, delegations from Russia and Ukraine negotiated in Turkey.
