JABAR EKSPRES – Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion have signed former Liverpool player James Milner for no transfer fee and is contracted until 2024 with an option to extend for one year, according to the team’s official website on Wednesday (6/15).
Milner will be the Seagulls’ second signing after they had previously signed Joao Pedro from Championship club Watford.
“We are delighted to confirm that James Milner will join the club on a one-year contract with a one-year option when his Liverpool contract expires on June 30,” the club’s official social media announcement read.
At the age of 37, Milner comes to Brighton after he won the Premier League (2019/2020), Champions League (2018/2019), European Super Cup (2019), Club World Cup (2019), FA Cup (2021/2022), League Cup (2021/2022), and Community Shield (2022) during his eight seasons with the Reds.

Since starting his career with Leeds United in 2002/2003, Milner is now the third player with the highest number of appearances in the Premier League in history, namely in 619 matches.
The incision of the player born January 4, 1986 was only lost to Ryan Giggs with 632 appearances and Gareth Barry with 652 appearances.
At national team level, the versatile player has 61 appearances with the England national team and has featured in two World Cups (2010, 2014) and two Euros (2012, 2016).
Brighton Technical Director David Weir said Milner’s experience would be of great help to the team, especially in European competition as he is making his first appearance in the club’s history.
“His experience speaks for itself with the number of games he has played and the trophies he has won throughout his career,” Weir said.
“These games include European competition, which will be invaluable to us as we begin our first season in Europe. We look forward to working with James when the players return for pre-season,” he continued.
