“We support farmers and fishermen in developing local food to produce diverse food in the country, especially in overcoming climate change and the global food crisis by utilizing local potential and wisdom,” he explained.
The President admitted that to meet food in abnormal conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, farmers and fishermen have proven that Indonesia has produced food for its own needs.
“We should be proud of farmers and fishermen who have been able to organize Penas KTNA which was attended by more than 28 thousand farmers and fishermen, and forest farmers from 37 provinces throughout Indonesia, as well as stakeholders in the agriculture, marine, fisheries and forestry sectors,” he concluded.
