The Smart Voting Movement, he said, is expected to prevent unhealthy political practices, such as money politics, voter intimidation, or the spread of fake news, by providing people with an understanding of the principles of democracy, voter rights, and applicable legal sanctions.
Through the Smart Voting Movement, people, especially young voters, according to Hendrasmo, can become smart, participatory and responsible voters. In addition, they can be actively involved in building democracy in Indonesia.
The Smart Voting Movement event was attended by around 500 participants from among students and students in the DKI Jakarta area. Also present were government officials, election organizers, police, legislative members of the House of Representatives, cultural figures, and community leaders.
