JABAR EKSPRES — Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport, Samarinda, East Kalimantan has prepared 16 extra flights in anticipation of the peak homecoming flow of Eid al-Fitr 2023.
Head of the APT Pranoto Class 1 Airport Operator Unit (UPBU), Agung Pracayanto, explained that the extra flight proposal was to anticipate an increase in the number of passengers during the Lebaran holiday period which is predicted to reach its peak on April 19-20, 2023.
Agung said the extra flights are still dominated by Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Jakarta, which are the main destinations of travelers every Lebaran holiday.
“Extra flights have been operating since April 11,” Agung said in Samarinda, Tuesday (18/4).

As for now, the airline most widely used to transport passengers at APT Pranoto Samarinda Airport is from Lion Group, namely Batik Air, Lion Air, and Super Air Jet, as well as Citilink.
In addition, to anticipate an increase in passenger flow, periodic checks of airport facilities and infrastructure are also carried out, as well as the rampcheck of aircraft from airport authorization in an effort to meet flight standards.

To increase frequency and routes, Agung asked citizens and civil servants who travel using air transportation to fly at APT Pranoto Samarinda Airport.
