Eid al-Fitr 2023: 6,500 Officers on Duty at Soetta Airport during Homecoming

JABAR EKSPRES — PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) alerted 6,500 employees on duty for 24 hours at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) during the homecoming flow period of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri/2023 AD.

Executive General Manager of KCU PT Angkasa Pura II, Dwi Ananda Wicaksana, in Tangerang, Sunday (16/4), said that thousands of officers who were alerted would be distributed throughout the flight terminal.

“For 24 hours organic manpower as many as 6,500 people work alternately. Plus the support of outsourced personnel and partners,” he said.

He mentioned that during the homecoming flow, his party will coordinate with the police and other authorities to ensure that nothing untoward happens.

In addition, equipment preparation starts from the runway. In the 2023 Lebaran homecoming flow, there are three runways activated at Soekarno Hatta Airport.

“Runway three can already be operated 24 hours for the runway. Initially, the runway on the north side usually only served aircraft arrivals in the morning to evening,” he said.

He added that the main consideration for runway three to operate all day was to unravel the queue of aircraft when one of the runways was closed.

“This policy is one of PT Angkasa Pura II’s efforts to anticipate the accumulation of passengers during the 2023 Lebaran homecoming and return flows at Soetta Airport,” he said.
